Canary Wharf (http://tinyurl.com/osxnr ) was part of the busiest dock in the world in the 1800s. It is now a major financial center on the outskirts of London. They left one of the very large cranes as a statue to remind people of what the area used to be used for. I liked the contrast of old and new.
